Paper cutter

Ok, so i'm pretty sure that anything that states in its function in its name should be intuitive.

Tonight someone came up and asked me how to use our paper cutter. This is a fair question if you've never used one before, so I showed him how. Apparently this concept was too much for him to figure out though, because he still had questions.

Random guy: So, if I want to cut it in half, how far do I put the paper in?

Me: ummm... well, how big is the paper you're trying to cut?

RG: Just regular computer paper.

Me: ok, well regular computer paper is 8.5 x 11 inches, so 11 divided by two is...?

RG: *silent*

Me: ...5.5 inches.

RG: right.

I'm still not sure if he was really that dumb or if he was just testing my math skills.
